Characteristically... Crazy.

Hello after quite an absence! It is just like me to start a blog, post two entries very enthusiastically, then forget it ever happened. But I am COMMITTED to this blog (maybe that should have been the title of this post!), and will post as faithfully as I can. Recap on the last few weeks:

1. Thanksgiving happened. It was a lovely time in SoCal! Allie and I drove the MiniCoop down in the middle of the night on Thanksgiving Eve (it was a very good idea, only took us about 6 1/2 hours), and spent lots of time with the Tumlinsons and the Gravises and everything inbetween. It was also the lovely Lyndsay's bachelorette tea/cocktail party - so much fun!

2. Wedding weekend. I flew back down only 5 days later for the marraige of Lyndsay and Matt! It was really beautiful and another nice weekend away.

3. ACFEA Christmas/Emily Reunion. I flew to Seattle last Friday and spent some time with my long lost Emily - it was a blast! She showed me her neighborhood and I was so happy to actually get to experience some of Seattle. It was my third trip there in 1 1/2 months and all I had seen was our main office (and the space needle from the car.) On Saturday, Chris arrived in Seattle and we saw a few sights before heading to the ACFEA Christmas Party! It was really a wonderful time had by all. Chris was so happy to finally meet all of the people I've been talking about nonstop for almost 2 months! There was quite a lot of merriment.

Other highlights:

Allie and I got our own cute little Christmas tree from a lot downtown. It is so lovely, and my first real live Christmas tree in my home, ever! I love it. It smells so nice. And I'm really surprise at how uninterested my cats are in it...

I get a weekend at home for once, and I'm looking forward to cleaning (believe it or not, I am!), taking the ferry over the bay and shopping in San Francisco, and going to church to hear the Bishop of California right here in San Rafael! Maybe I'll squeeze some relaxing time in there somewhere, but it's not likely. Such is the life of me...
